Located in beautiful historic downtown Galesburg, The Packinghouse was originally constructed by Swift & Company in 1912. It was a regional distribution center for meat, produce and grocery wholesalers and distributors.
In 1978, The Packinghouse Dining Company converted the building into a fine dining center much to the delight of Galesburg residents and others in over a fifty-mile radius. The building's interior and exterior were renovated preserving the historic charm that characterizes the Galesburg community.
